Positioning

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is as youthful and dynamic as ever, but mature and comfortable like never before. Technologically, the A-Class not only leads the field with MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience - it also offers a number of functions that were previously the preserve of the luxury class. In certain driving situations it is able to drive semi-autonomously for the first time, and MULTIBEAM LED headlamps are available on request. The A 200 d and A 220 d already comply with the Euro 6d emission standard required from 2020.

Highlights

  • The puristic, surface-accentuating design is the next step in the Mercedes-Benz design philosophy of sensual purity.
  • New multimedia system MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience
  • The avant-garde design of the dashboard and a cockpit with no shroud creates a unique architecture
  • Highest safety level in this segment thanks to extended driving assistance systems with S-Class functions
  • Full range of new, efficient engines, and the new Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC (combined fuel consumption 7.4-7.3 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions 169-167 g/km) has been orderable since December 2018.
  • With the new, transversely installed two-litre OM 654q diesel engine, the A-Class ( A 200 d, A 220 d) already complies with the Euro 6d standard prescribed for new models from 1.1.2020 thanks to extended exhaust aftertreatment with an additional underfloor catalytic converter.
  • More shoulder-room, elbow-room and headroom, and easier entry into the rear
  • At 370 litres, the boot capacity is 29 litres larger than in the previous model, and more usable.
  • All-round visibility is significantly improved thanks to slimmer pillar claddings: by around ten percent
