Positioning

The third vehicle to be developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. It combines the impressive race-track dynamism of the two-door AMG GT sports car with the greatest possible everyday usability, offering space for up to five people. Clearly identifiable as a member of the AMG GT family, the four-door Coupé has inherited the familiar muscular proportions which have been further developed in a truly expressive way.

Highlights

  • Drive: Front-mounted engine, fully-variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive
  • lightweight design: intelligent mix of materials with high percentages of aluminium and carbon-fibre components to ensure low weight, the highest level of structural rigidity, best-possible crash safety and quality. Analysis and simulation methods from motor racing were used to carry out specific reinforcement of the body structure. Bonnet and front wings of aluminium. Rear wall and boot cavity of carbon-fibre
  • Aerodynamics: Active air regulation system AIRPANEL (movable, vertical louvres in the front apron) and a multi-stage, extendable rear spoiler improve the aerodynamic balance and performance.
  • Suspension: in the case of the six-cylinder models, the AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with steel springs and the Adaptive Damping System are used. The AMG RIDE CONTROL+ suspension of the eight-cylinder variants is based on a full-support multi-chamber air suspension, also combined with the Adaptive Damping System.
