  • Geneva, Mar 1, 2016 - For Mercedes-Benz, 2016 is the year of the cabriolet and the roadster. The new C-Class Cabriolet – the latest in a long line of dream cars – has its world première in Geneva, as does the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC. Other signs of spring are the two updated SL and SLC roadsters, as well as the performance roadsters from Mercedes-AMG. Shortly prior to the market launch of the new S-Class Cabriolet, the Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC Cabriolet is appearing in a limited "Edition 130" for the top segment.

  • Stuttgart, Feb 27, 2016 - New appearance for an automotive icon: the extensively technically and visually optimised Mercedes-Benz SL can be ordered at prices starting from €99,097.25 from April 2016. More powerful engines, the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, DYNAMIC SELECT with five transmission modes and Active Body Control with the curve tilting function all take the legend to a new dynamic level. Its suitability for everyday use has been enhanced with the hard top, which can now be operated at up to 40 km/h when starting off, and the automatic boot separator.

  • Stuttgart, May 8, 2012 - The stage is set for the new Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG. The new version of the high-performance Roadster impresses on several counts: systematic lightweight construction, a boost in output and driving dynamics, and 30 percent lower fuel consumption and emissions. Thanks to an all-aluminium bodyshell, similar to that of the SLS AMG super sports car, the vehicle weight has been reduced by 125 kilograms.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 22, 2011 - Before the year is out, Mercedes-Benz will present a completely redeveloped SL Roadster made for the first time almost entirely from aluminium. The full aluminium bodyshell of this newly developed vehicle weighs around 110 kilograms less than a comparable bodyshell constructed with the technology used for its predecessor. It thus reduces the overall weight of the new SL by 140 kilograms compared to its predecessor.
