- Monaco, Feb 27, 2018 - The new eVito from Mercedes-Benz Vans celebrated a cycling premiere as the lead vehicle on the 2018 "Laureus Sport for Good Ride". The all-electric van accompanied the cyclists on the 30 kilometre charity ride in the run-up to the Laureus World Sports Awards on 27 February in Monaco.

- London/Stuttgart, Feb 8, 2017 - Black taxis with a large radiator grill and high roof are as much a part of the London cityscape as Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. The Vito Taxi from Mercedes-Benz has been among the so-called "black cabs" since 2008. Now it has been completely renewed.

- Stuttgart/Esslingen, Nov 20, 2015 - With the new Mercedes-Benz Vito in its portfolio, Schlienz-Tours has won a contract tendered by the Esslingen district authority. As of now the tourist travel and regular-service bus operation specialist from Kernen near Stuttgart ensures with its 48 specially equipped Vito that around 350 handicapped children are able to attend the Rohraecker School in Esslingen on time.

- Vatican City, Oct 14, 2015 - Pope Francis has blessed the first Mercedes-Benz Vito to be produced in his home country of Argentina. At the ceremony held on 13 October in the Vatican, the head of the Roman Catholic Church also affixed his signature to the white Vito Tourer. Mercedes-Benz Argentina, the national subsidiary of Daimler Group, is donating this very special Vito to Scholas Occurrentes, an aid organisation supported by Pope Francis. The van will be auctioned at a later date. The proceeds will benefit sports, art and technology projects of the organisation.

- Stuttgart, Feb 10, 2015 - Coinciding with the cold snap in Europe, Mercedes-Benz Vans is now also presenting the new Vito as the Mercedes-Benz Vito 4x4. - Stuttgart, Oct 2, 2014 - Where do vans come from? Mercedes-Benz Vans is now providing a surprising answer to this question by humorously presenting the new Vito as a “love child.” According to the story, the new mid-size van is the result of a tender and passionate encounter between a Mercedes-Benz Actros truck and an S-Class coupe. The video clip that tells the story of this automotive romance is the highlight of a broad-based multimedia marketing campaign for the new Vito.

- Vitoria/Stuttgart, Aug 18, 2014 - The first unit of the new Vito rolled off the production line today at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vitoria, Spain. The vehicle from Mercedes-Benz Vans sets new standards in the mid-size van segment. The new van with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 2.5 t to 3.2 t impresses with very low fuel consumption (as little as 5.7 l of diesel per 100 km) and a low purchase price (starting at €17,990 plus tax in Germany).

- Stuttgart, Dec 12, 2013 - Freiburg-based master electrician Reiner Ullmann is a successful proponent of electric mobility: two Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL panel vans were introduced into his fleet of some 15 vehicles just under six months ago. "My experience has been entirely positive," the business owner notes. Taking stock after three months, he enthused: "Electric mobility fascinates me." He has already ordered his next electric vehicle - a smart fortwo electric drive.

- Continuous TextCoventry/Stuttgart, Jun 20, 2013 - Britain’s Network Rail will in future use the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL to transfer its staff between the Westwood Leadership Development Centre and the local Tile Hill railway station. Network Rail is the operator of Britain’s rail infrastructure and owns the physical assets of the former nationalised British Rail. Those assets include track and signalling, tunnels, bridges and level crossings as well as the management of 17 key UK railway stations.

- Stuttgart, Feb 6, 2013 - After a challenging selection process, the participants of this year’s Aïcha des Gazelles rally have now been chosen. In 2013 Mercedes-Benz Vans will send four teams driving Sprinter and Vito vehicles into the desert. Reinforced by motor sports enthusiast Lina Van de Mars, the female employees from Daimler will take part in the Aïcha des Gazelles rally on behalf of the company. “Clichés about women drivers are totally passé,” replies Lina Van de Mars when questioned whether having women drive is a good idea.

- Geneva, Mar 6, 2012 - A world first from Mercedes-Benz Vans: the Vito E-CELL crewbus is the first seven-seater vehicle worldwide to offer local emission-free mobility ex-factory as standard. With its range of around 130 km it is ideal for use in environmentally sensitive areas, such as pedestrian zones, city centres or health resorts.

- Stuttgart, Feb 22, 2012 - From Eutin in the north to Munich in the south, from Duisburg in the west to Dresden in the east – more than 30 branches and trade partners of Daimler AG are now operating as sales and service outlets for the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL. - Stuttgart/Berlin, Jan 17, 2012 - Quiet, emissions-free and practical – 100 battery-driven electric Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL vans have proven their worth in customer use in Berlin and Stuttgart. The world’s first van fitted with an electric drive system ex factory has been taking to the roads in the German capital since autumn 2010, and in Stuttgart since the beginning of 2011. The two projects, each with 50 Vito E-CELLs, are intended to run over a period of four years.

- Stuttgart, Sep 27, 2011 - The Mercedes-Benz Vito E-CELL is making its mark thanks to an innovative concept and high-performance drive system. A fully functioning van for everyday applications, it has a maximum payload of around 900kg and a load compartment with no restrictions on use. This means it can assume all the usual transportation duties of a vehicle in its class and makes it an ideal choice for courier and parcel services.

- Stuttgart/Turin, Apr 4, 2011 - The Mercedes-Benz Vito product range for the commercial passenger transport and trade/services sectors has been extended with the Vito Shuttle and Vito Crew. These models excel with their new design, economy and customer- oriented practicality. There is a choice of two 4-cylinder CDI diesel engines developing 70 kW (95 hp) and 100 kW (136 hp). The Vito Shuttle is also available in a 120 kW (163 hp) variant.

- Stuttgart/Finnland, Feb 28, 2011 - Even in snow and at extremely low temperatures, the new Mercedes-Benz Vito was able to show its strengths and prevail against its competitors. As in previous years, at the invitation of the Finnish motoring magazine "Auto, tekniikka ja kuljetus", motoring editors from Finland, Sweden and Norway tested vans in the weight class up to three tonnes.
