  • Stuttgart, Feb 29, 2016 - Mercedes-Benz Trucks registered the largest fleet order in Eastern Europe in its history: A framework agreement for the delivery of 1,000 Mercedes-Benz Actros with Euro VI engines has been signed with Girteka Logistics, a Lithuanian logistics company, earlier this month. The agreement will be an important milestone in the partnership between Girteka Logistics and Mercedes-Benz Trucks. The majority of the trucks will be handed over to the logistics specialist within the current year.
  • Wörth/Heidelberg, Feb 26, 2016 - The drivers who work for Heidelberg Cement, one of the world's leading building materials companies, spend their working hours at the wheel of mixer trucks, concrete pumps and tankers based on the Arocs and Actros, transporting aggregates, cement and ready-mixed concrete. At the beginning of February, instead of heading to the cement works or the construction site, however, the company's complement of just under 160 drivers made their way to Wörth on the Rhine to take part in a two-day training course in compliance with Driver CPC legislation.

  • Stuttgart/İstanbul, Dec 10, 2015 - Major order for Mercedes-Benz Turkey: Barsan Global Logistics has expanded its fleet with 450 new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1841 trucks. The lowliner semitrailer tractor produced in Plant Wörth is equipped with a pneumatic suspension, a low frame and an additional suspension system for the front axle. In addition, all trucks come with the environmentally friendly Euro V technology.

To this end, 90 Actros trucks are on the road, predominantly tractor units of models 1842 LS and 1845 LS with Euro VI emission control technology.
  • Stuttgart/Bonn, Apr 23, 2015 - The Mercedes-Benz Actros 1842 has impressed the editorial teams of the reputed "Trucker" and "VerkehrsRundschau" publications at this year's Green Truck Award and succeeded in taking first place in the rankings. As a result the Mercedes-Benz Actros 1842 has emerged as the most environment-friendly truck, edging ahead of the competition by virtue of its low fuel consumption. The vehicle clocked up an average fuel consumption of 22.9 l per 100 km in independent tests conducted last year for the editorial teams' Green Truck Award.
  • Stuttgart/Aachen, Feb 12, 2015 - A new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1845 owned by freight forwarders Josef Schumacher is taking to the roads as a history lesson on wheels thanks to a brightly coloured paint finish depicting the origins of mankind. On 16 February the truck named “The Cradle of Humanity” will be bringing some additional colour to the Shrove Monday carnival procession in the city of Aachen.
  • Stuttgart/Wörth/Brackley, Feb 9, 2015 - The MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS F1 Team's new logistics partner, DB Schenker, took delivery of five Mercedes-Benz Actros models as new race trucks for the Formula 1 World Championship-winning team in Wörth at the end of January. DB Schenker is making use of the trucks to undertake all logistics services at the European Formula 1 races, tests and promotional events up until the end of 2018.

  • Stuttgart/Untertürkheim, Dec 10, 2013 - With the help of donations from Daimler employees, the second humanitarian aid convoy left the Mercedes-Benz plant in Untertürkheim today to carry supplies to Syrian refugees in Gaziantep in southern Turkey. Daimler Trucks and Wings of Help teamed up to send six Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks full of urgently needed relief supplies, including medicines and winter clothing, from Stuttgart to the refugees. In Adana, Turkey, the convoy will be joined by two more trucks carrying food and tents.

  • Stuttgart/Wörth, Oct 11, 2013 - Major order for Mercedes-Benz Trucks: Spanish forwarding agent Primafrio has ordered 400 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks. The ordered vehicles are intended to modernise the fleet of this company specialised in the transportation of refrigerated goods, with reliable semi-trailer tractors from Mercedes now set to make up over half of its total fleet of some 750 vehicles. The 400 Actros trucks are equipped with environment-friendly Euro V technology and will be handed over to the customer up to January 2014.
  • Gaziantep/Stuttgart, Sep 25, 2013 - The "Convoy of Hope – Wings on Wheels," consisting of 11 new Mercedes-Benz Actros articulated trucks, has reached its destination: the city of Gaziantep in southern Turkey near the Syrian border. This is where the distribution center for humanitarian aid to the refugee camps is located. The aid convoy transported urgently needed aid supplies valued at approximately €4 million to this border area between Turkey and Syria after completing a land journey of almost 4,000 kilometers.
  • Frankfurt/Stuttgart, Sep 19, 2013 - A convoy carrying relief supplies for Syrian refugees to Gaziantep in Southern Turkey will start off today at the premises of the IAA 2013 motor show in Frankfurt. In Gaziantep, a city close to the Syrian border, the humanitarian aid will be distributed to refugee camps. The Convoy of Hope – Wings on Wheels consists of 11 new Mercedes-Benz Actros semitrailer trucks, which will transport around €4 million worth of relief supplies over a distance of almost 4,000 km to the Turkish-Syrian border.
  • Wörth/Molsheim, Sep 16, 2013 - With the sales launch of its new Mercedes-Benz SLT heavy-duty tractor unit for the European markets, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is completing the introduction of its new truck model series featuring Euro VI in-line six-cylinder engines. The new family of Mercedes-Benz trucks for heavy-duty transport is available for the first time as the variants Actros-SLT with air suspension and Arocs-SLT with steel suspension, while the Arocs is also alternatively available with all-wheel drive.

  • Affalterbach/Moskau, Aug 1, 2013 - The German Touring Car Championship (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, DTM) will be a special guest in Russia, for the first time in the history of this most popular touring car championship, from 3 - 4 August 2013. The sixth of ten races in the 2013 DTM season will be run on the Moscow Raceway. The circuit, designed by the leading racecourse engineer Hermann Tilke, of worldwide renown, is located around 80 kilometres northwest of the Russian capital city, Moscow.

  • Hannover, Oct 10, 2012 - At the IAA this year, Daimler AG was presented by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) with the first certificate of approval to be issued in Europe in relation to the international Regulation on "AEBS – Advanced Emergency Braking Systems". The certification applies to Mercedes Benz trucks, and more specifically to the new Actros and to the Antos launched at the IAA in 2012.
  • Hannover, Sep 27, 2012 - On each day of the IAA Commercial Vehicles show the asphalt cowboys of country rock band BossHoss took to the truck stage at the top of every hour to treat their fans to a rendition of their song "Truckstar", which is dedicated to the new Antos. Also in the spotlight were the two stars of the show – the new Actros and the new Antos – , along with four striking girl dancers. The new Mercedes-Benz trucks displayed their strengths in impressive style, both in a video clip and "in the flesh" at the show. The video presents the new Antos in various heavy-duty distribution scenarios. The bass-dominated sound starts up in sync with the new in-line engine and segues into the performing band.

By placing an order for 150 Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 LS trucks, Turkish fruit and vegetable wholesaler Cekok Gida continues to put its trust in the dependability of Mercedes-Benz trucks. The food company relies primarily on Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks, which make up about 90 percent of the firm’s total fleet of more than 240 vehicles.
  • Stuttgart/Munich, Nov 30, 2011 - The new Mercedes Benz Actros has taken the “European Transport Sustainability Prize 2012” award in the “Trucks from 7.5 tonnes” category. This is the first year the prize sponsored by the Huss-Verlag publishing house has been awarded. The jury statement highlighted the vehicle’s low fuel consumption, which was achieved in spite of the technology measures required to meet the Euro VI standard.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 24, 2011 - The latest success for Mercedes-Benz Trucks involves another major order for 202 units of Mercedes-Benz Actros 1844 LS trucks placed by the Turkish chocolate manufacturing company Tören Gida, which is converting most of fleet to the tried and tested truck model. Tören Gida, which has its headquarters in Gaziantep in Southeast Anatolia, is one of the most important industrial companies in the region. The truck fleet delivers the company’s products to 25 countries in Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
