  • Stuttgart, Nov 14, 2013 - A major order is giving a further boost to Daimler AG’s van business in China. Daimler’s van joint venture Fujian Benz Automotive Co. (FBAC) has secured an order by the Dalian Wanda Group comprising 85 Mercedes-Benz Viano 3.0L vans. In the framework of a hand-over ceremony, the Chinese conglomerate has already taken over 70 of the ordered vehicles and has sent some of them on an exclusive shuttle assignment for international movie stars such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Leonardo diCaprio on the occasion of the “Wanda Star-Shining Night.”

  • Stuttgart, Sep 6, 2013 - Mercedes-Benz Vans is already creating the conditions that will enable it to master the challenges associated with the model changeover of the Sprinter large van in a few years time. It is also realigning the Sprinter production strategy for the long-term. To enable the division to respond to future growth, it will not extend its contract manufacturing agreement with Volkswagen AG in relation to large vans after the contract expires as scheduled at the end of 2016.

  • Marokko/Stuttgart, Apr 10, 2013 - On March 30, 2013 the Daimler employees Coralie Lejeune and Susanne Ehmer, Sabrina Trillmann and Astrid Ebermann, as well as the skilled trades team members Sabrina Mayer and Larissa Lauber crossed the finish line of the “Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles” exhausted but satisfied. The Mercedes-drivers were able to capture top positions with their standard production transporters in the rallye’s most important rankings.

For now, however, I wish you much success in the rallye - take care and have fun.” Four rallye teams from Mercedes-Benz Vans started in Paris this past weekend to participate in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles.

  • Stuttgart, Jul 2, 2012 - Today, Daimler AG called attention to two world premieres and one European premiere that it will display at the world’s biggest commercial vehicle exhibition in Hanover. A total of 16 vehicles were presented in Stuttgart as part of a preview for the IAA Commercial Vehicles, which will be held in Hanover on September 20-27, 2012. The vehicles ranged from the new Mercedes-Benz Citan city van, new urban buses and travel coaches from Mercedes-Benz and Setra, new green leaders in form of the Mercedes-Benz Vito E-Cell crewbus and the Fuso Canter Eco Hybrid, to the heavy-duty Mercedes-Benz Antos, which was introduced to the public as a new truck for heavy-duty delivery applications for the first time.

  • Vitoria/Spain , Jun 20, 2012 - The 750,000th vehicle from the current Vito and Viano model series has rolled off the line at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Vitoria. The milestone van, an obsidian black Mercedes-Benz Viano Avantgarde V6 model with an automatic transmission and a luxurious leather interior, will be delivered to a customer in Belgium. “This achievement marks yet another milestone for Vitoria,” says Plant Manager Emilio Titos. “Our facility is the center of expertise for medium-sized vans and electric-drive vans, and it’s also a key component of the Mercedes-Benz production network.”
