  • Stuttgart, Jan 4, 2013 - Following record sales in the previous year, Mercedes-Benz Cars has once again posted an annual record in 2012 as well as the highest December sales to date. Over the past twelve months, 1,423,835 customers chose a vehicle of the brands Mercedes-Benz, smart and Maybach. The previous year's sales volumes were thus exceeded by 4.5% or 60,901 units. Also Mercedes-Benz achieved a new sales record in 2012. From January through December, a total of 1,320,097 vehicles of the core brand were sold.

  • Stuttgart, Oct 12, 2012 - Following the market launch of the new A-Class on 15 September, delivery of the model designed for use as a driving school vehicle has now commenced. Two special equipment packages are available, supplemented by the "toBE" special driving school model. But it is not only young road users looking to obtain their driving licence who will be able to experience the Mercedes way of driving: RoadSense, the interactive road safety education programme for 8th grade pupils, is also being switched over to the new A-Class.

  • Stuttgart, Jul 10, 2012 - As part of their two-day visit to Germany, H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco and H.S.H. Princess Charlène today toured the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. During an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition the princely couple was able to experience a unique journey through time, from the very beginnings of automotive industry and on into the future. H.S.H Prince Albert II, himself the owner of a superb collection of classic and young classic cars, was clearly delighted to see the Museum's unique and comprehensive display of more than 125 years of automotive history.

  • Stuttgart, Jun 28, 2012 - When city-building simulation game SimCity Social is released on Facebook in the coming weeks, the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class will be there from the start. Electronic Arts Inc. and the Stuttgart-based premium automotive brand announced their partnership for all worldwide territories excluding North America. Mercedes-Benz will offer fans of SimCity Social a range of exclusive additional playing options until the end of September. They will be able to add a Mercedes-Benz factory and billboards to their cities, and have the new A-Class driving through their streets.

  • Stuttgart/Paris, May 31, 2012 - Mercedes-Benz is continuing the successful partnership launched last year by Maybach with the world-famous Louvre Museum in Paris. Until 2013, the premium car brand with the star will be the exclusive main sponsor of annually alternating exhibitions of contemporary sculpture beneath the world-famous glass pyramid. From tomorrow, Mercedes-Benz is presenting the new sculpture “Suppo”, by Belgian conceptual artist Wim Delvoye. It will be on view in the Louvre until 3 December 2012, as part of the artist’s monographic exhibition.

  • Berlin, Mar 6, 2012 - To coincide with their arrival, yesterday the new residents of the “Effizienzhaus-Plus mit Elektromobilität“ were given a smart fortwo electric drive and a Mercedes-Benz A-Class E-CELL. For the next three months the family of four will therefore be able to get around using the battery-electric vehicles without producing any emissions at all. Among other things the project serves to field test state-of-the-art technologies, and this is why the vehicles will use the intelligent charging function "Smart Charge Communication" and an inductive charging option.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 7, 2011 - A new simulation game for green cities is to go online on 15 December 2011 under the title “GreenSight City”. This game, jointly developed by Daimler AG and Zone 2 Connect GmbH (Meerbusch) is an urban-planning simulation that focuses particularly on the issues of mobility, renewable energy sources and innovative technologies. The task set the players is to transform a small town into a flourishing “green” metropolis and thus attract as many tourists as possible. For this to happen, different tasks and missions have to be accomplished successfully.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 4, 2011 - Following record sales in the third quarter, in October Mercedes-Benz once again succeeded in surpassing the excellent sales level reached in the same month of last year. Shortly before the launch of the high-volume B-Class, 103,378 customers (+2.9%) chose to purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. A total of 1,022,666 units have been delivered since January, an increase of 7.1%.

The brand delivered a total of 108,766 passenger vehicles (May 2010: 101,359) to customers worldwide. Deliveries thus rose by 7.3 percent compared to the high volume recorded in the same month last year. Since January, 490,021 customers (January-May 2010: 443,394) have decided to buy a Mercedes-Benz brand vehicle, resulting in an increase of 10.5 percent.

  • Stuttgart, May 27, 2011 - During the first four months of the year, Mercedes-Benz grew stronger in Russia than in any other market. Sales were at record levels in each month and rose a total of 77.2 percent to 7,764 passenger cars. In full-year 2010, Mercedes-Benz sold 19,724 units in Russia. This is a new all-time high and represents an increase of 63.7 percent. Over the past ten years, sales in Russia have risen nine fold.

  • Stuttgart, Mar 3, 2011 - The fast-paced action thriller "Unknown Identity" begins showing in German cinemas today with a star-studded international cast and a fleet of cars bearing the Mercedes star into the bargain. Six Mercedes-Benz models feature alongside leading actors Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger, in some instances taking on major roles in the breakneck race against time: four E-Class taxis from three decades, a gull-winged SLS AMG and a fuel cell car in the guise of the B-Class F-Cell.   • Stuttgart, Jan 29, 2011 - Exactly 125 years to the day after Carl Benz registered his “vehicle with gas-engine drive” under patent number 37435 with the Berlin Patent Office in 1886, Daimler AG has celebrated the anniversary of the automobile. Approximately 1,400 invited guests were hosted by the inventor of the automobile at the Mercedes-Benz World in Stuttgart. The evening was moderated by Desirée Nosbusch with guests of honor including the German Federal Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, and the Prime Minister of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Stefan Mappus.

  • Stuttgart, Jan 20, 2011 - On 29 January 1886, Carl Benz changed the world when he filed a patent application (number 37435) for his "gas engine-powered vehicle" with the Reich Patent Office in Berlin. This marked the birth of the automobile. Mercedes-Benz has since had around 80,000 pioneering inventions patented. The Mercedes brand is thus fittingly celebrating the anniversary of the invention of the automobile under the banner "125! years of innovation". The anniversary year will kick off with an advertising campaign which will run in the print media, on TV and on the internet from 19 January to 2 February 2011.

  • Stuttgart, Jan 7, 2011 - Sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars developed positively throughout 2010, with double-digit increases recorded every month. As a result, the brand had already surpassed its 2009 sales volume by the end of November. The fourth quarter has been the best quarter in the company’s history, with deliveries of 313.700 units, an increase of 14 percent. Worldwide sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars rose 15 percent in 2010, to 1,167,700 units (2009: 1,012,300).

  • Stuttgart, Dec 3, 2010 - The pace of Mercedes-Benz sales continues to increase, with 105,200 customers (November 2009: 88,600) buying one of the brand’s vehicles in November. The figure is 19 percent higher than in the same month last year and the highest sales result ever for the month of November. This means that Mercedes-Benz once again recorded strong growth compared to the same month last year, even though sales had grown again in November 2009 following the crisis, particularly in the U.S. Since January, Mercedes-Benz has delivered a total of 1,059,600 passenger vehicles worldwide (January-November 2009: 914,700), representing an increase of 16 percent.

  • Stuttgart, Nov 12, 2010 - Mercedes-Benz is steadily growing in South Korea and has posted new record sales every month this year. Last month Mercedes-Benz recorded the best October of all time in Korea, with sales rising by 42 percent to 1,200 units. Vehicle deliveries have doubled since the beginning of the year, increasing to 13,500 units (January–October 2009: 6,800). As a result, Mercedes-Benz grew more than the import market as a whole, which increased by around 50 percent. Mercedes-Benz has boosted sales in South Korea each year since 2000. In 2009, it sold almost 9,000 units, or nine times as many as ten years ago.

A limited edition of 800 of these luxurious keys will initially be offered to customers in Japan.
