  • Stuttgart, Nov 4, 2011 - Following record sales in the third quarter, in October Mercedes-Benz once again succeeded in surpassing the excellent sales level reached in the same month of last year. Shortly before the launch of the high-volume B-Class, 103,378 customers (+2.9%) chose to purchase a Mercedes-Benz vehicle. A total of 1,022,666 units have been delivered since January, an increase of 7.1%.

  • Stuttgart, Aug 30, 2011 - Mercedes-Benz celebrates five world premieres at the 2011 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The centrepiece of its show presentation is the new Mercedes-Benz B-Class. Far more agile and efficient than previously, yet as usual comfortable and spacious – the Sports Tourer is an all-round talent. Another highlight will be the F 125! The research car demonstrates how in the long term entirely emission-free individual mobility can be made possible in the luxury segment.
  • Stuttgart, Jun 6, 2011 - In May, Mercedes-Benz sold more vehicles than ever before in this month. The brand delivered a total of 108,766 passenger vehicles (May 2010: 101,359) to customers worldwide. Deliveries thus rose by 7.3 percent compared to the high volume recorded in the same month last year. Since January, 490,021 customers (January-May 2010: 443,394) have decided to buy a Mercedes-Benz brand vehicle, resulting in an increase of 10.5 percent.
  • Stuttgart, May 27, 2011 - During the first four months of the year, Mercedes-Benz grew stronger in Russia than in any other market. Sales were at record levels in each month and rose a total of 77.2 percent to 7,764 passenger cars. In full-year 2010, Mercedes-Benz sold 19,724 units in Russia. This is a new all-time high and represents an increase of 63.7 percent. Over the past ten years, sales in Russia have risen nine fold.
  • Stuttgart, May 4, 2011 - Following strong sales results in the first quarter, Mercedes-Benz continued to be successful in April. Sales rose by 8.2 percent compared to the high volume recorded in the same month last year. The brand delivered a total of 100,703 passenger cars worldwide (April 2010: 93,077). Since the start of the year, sales have risen by 11.5 percent to 381,255 units (Jan. – April 2010: 342,035).
  • Stuttgart, Apr 14, 2011 - “Oh Lord, won’t you buy me…” – with these lyrics, Janis Joplin made history. Taking inspiration from her classic 1971 song, singer/songwriter Estelle along with rapper/producer David Banner and the hotly tipped artist Daley were brought together – by British based international style magazine BLAG – to create a brand new song in honour of the inventor of the automobile. The track “Benz”, by Grammy award winning producer David Banner, is an upbeat, celebratory track inspired by his Mississippi roots.
  • Stuttgart, Mar 3, 2011 - The fast-paced action thriller "Unknown Identity" begins showing in German cinemas today with a star-studded international cast and a fleet of cars bearing the Mercedes star into the bargain. Six Mercedes-Benz models feature alongside leading actors Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger, in some instances taking on major roles in the breakneck race against time: four E-Class taxis from three decades, a gull-winged SLS AMG and a fuel cell car in the guise of the B-Class F-Cell. The film was made by director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Joel Silver in Berlin, Brandenburg, Leipzig and the Babelsberg studios in Potsdam.

Worldwide sales of the brand with the star were up 23 percent, marking another double-digit increase. A total of 82,700 vehicles were delivered last month (January 2010: 67,000).
  • Stuttgart, Jan 29, 2011 - Exactly 125 years to the day after Carl Benz registered his “vehicle with gas-engine drive” under patent number 37435 with the Berlin Patent Office in 1886, Daimler AG has celebrated the anniversary of the automobile. Approximately 1,400 invited guests were hosted by the inventor of the automobile at the Mercedes-Benz World in Stuttgart. The evening was moderated by Desirée Nosbusch with guests of honor including the German Federal Chancellor, Dr. Angela Merkel, and the Prime Minister of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg, Stefan Mappus.
  • Stuttgart, Jan 20, 2011 - On 29 January 1886, Carl Benz changed the world when he filed a patent application (number 37435) for his "gas engine-powered vehicle" with the Reich Patent Office in Berlin. This marked the birth of the automobile. Mercedes-Benz has since had around 80,000 pioneering inventions patented. The Mercedes brand is thus fittingly celebrating the anniversary of the invention of the automobile under the banner "125! years of innovation". The anniversary year will kick off with an advertising campaign which will run in the print media, on TV and on the internet from 19 January to 2 February 2011.
  • Stuttgart, Jan 7, 2011 - Sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars developed positively throughout 2010, with double-digit increases recorded every month. As a result, the brand had already surpassed its 2009 sales volume by the end of November. The fourth quarter has been the best quarter in the company’s history, with deliveries of 313.700 units, an increase of 14 percent. Worldwide sales of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars rose 15 percent in 2010, to 1,167,700 units (2009: 1,012,300).
  • Stuttgart, Dec 3, 2010 - The pace of Mercedes-Benz sales continues to increase, with 105,200 customers (November 2009: 88,600) buying one of the brand’s vehicles in November. The figure is 19 percent higher than in the same month last year and the highest sales result ever for the month of November. This means that Mercedes-Benz once again recorded strong growth compared to the same month last year, even though sales had grown again in November 2009 following the crisis, particularly in the U.S. Since January, Mercedes-Benz has delivered a total of 1,059,600 passenger vehicles worldwide (January-November 2009: 914,700), representing an increase of 16 percent.
  • Stuttgart, Nov 12, 2010 - Mercedes-Benz is steadily growing in South Korea and has posted new record sales every month this year. Last month Mercedes-Benz recorded the best October of all time in Korea, with sales rising by 42 percent to 1,200 units. Vehicle deliveries have doubled since the beginning of the year, increasing to 13,500 units (January–October 2009: 6,800). As a result, Mercedes-Benz grew more than the import market as a whole, which increased by around 50 percent. Mercedes-Benz has boosted sales in South Korea each year since 2000. In 2009, it sold almost 9,000 units, or nine times as many as ten years ago.
  • Stuttgart, Nov 2, 2010 - The inventors of the automobile and the inventors of the Aurora Borealis crystal effect today introduce to the market an outcome of their cooperation: a car key upon which more than 200 fine SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS sparkle alongside the Mercedes-Benz star. A limited edition of 800 of these luxurious keys will initially be offered to customers in Japan. The idea of decorating Mercedes-Benz keys with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS was born in Daimler's own internal "Business Innovation Community".
  • Stuttgart, Oct 8, 2010 - Mercedes-Benz recorded the best September sales result in its history last month and was worldwide the premium brand with the highest sales volume. For Mercedes-Benz, September was the best sales month so far this year. Sales increased at a double-digit rate for the eleventh time in a row. The brand gained market shares in almost all markets. Mercedes-Benz delivered 118,600 vehicles (September 2009: 104,900) to customers worldwide in September, an increase of 13 percent. Sales since January now total 854,000 units (January-September 2009: 737,600), representing an increase of 16 percent.
  • Stuttgart, Sep 3, 2010 - Sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles continue to increase. In August, the brand posted double-digit growth for the tenth month in a row. Sales were up by 22 percent, and deliveries to customers around the world amounted to 81,000 units last month (August 2009: 66,200). Since the beginning of the year, Mercedes-Benz has now sold 735,400 passenger cars, an increase of 16 percent from the figure recorded during the same period in 2009.
  • Stuttgart, Aug 4, 2010 - Sales at Mercedes-Benz continue to improve, rising by 17 percent in July. This marked the ninth month in a row that sales have increased at a double-digit rate. Global deliveries to customers amounted to 97,700 units last month (July 2009: 83,500). As a result, sales now total 654,400 units since the beginning of the year (January-July 2009: 566,600), representing an increase of 16 percent.

This is confirmed by a large-scale survey conducted by the world-renowned J.D. Power and Associates Index on the satisfaction of car buyers. Mercedes-Benz took first place among all car brands in this study. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the CLK also headed their respective categories. This means that Mercedes-Benz drivers are the most satisfied motorists in Germany.

Power and Associates institute conducts the survey to evaluate overall vehicle ownership satisfaction in the categories of Vehicle Quality, Vehicle Appeal, Vehicle Ownership Costs, and Service Quality.

  • Stuttgart, Jan 21, 2010 - Four Mercedes-Benz models have the lowest depreciation in their segment, and can justifiably call themselves the "Value retention champions 2010" - the E, C, S and R-Class. These are the findings of analyses carried out each year by the Saarbrücken-based market research institute Bähr & Fess Forecast on behalf of the motoring magazine "Auto Bild". Mercedes-Benz vehicles are therefore generally have the highest value retention, and offer a significant economic advantage.
